Hi! My name is Alex Snyder. I live in Burlington, Ontario, with my husband and little dog Kenny. I have lived in Burlington most of my life. However, I did live in Halifax, Nova Scotia, for four years while I attended Dalhousie University.

I enjoy spending time with my family and being outdoors. In my spare time, during the warmer seasons, I can usually be found on the water, whether sailing, boating, paddle boarding or walking along the waterfront here in Burlington.

I also enjoy running, hiking, and spending quiet afternoons reading or trying out a new recipe in the kitchen. I enjoy being involved in my community through volunteer work. This brings me joy as I can connect with people and help organizations within my community.

About me as an Individual Therapist…

Hi, my name is Alex, and I am a Registered Psychotherapist (Qualifying). I entered this profession in the hopes of helping others through difficulties and challenging times. Within sessions, I take on a person-centred approach and place importance on the relationship I build with my clients in the therapeutic setting.

I am committed to working together to identify goals and utilize tools that can be used when faced with situations that may be hard to overcome. I aim to create a space where everyone feels safe and supported, that is free of judgment or biases. We can work together to help improve your relationship with yourself and others.

I look forward to learning about you and exploring the best ways to support you.
