I have been married for 30 years and attribute our success to flexibility and a good sense of humour. I have four adult children; one daughter and three sons, and love walking or cuddling with my two dogs. I enjoy travel and learning, and exploring nature. I enjoy meeting new people and believe there is something to learn from every person who enters your life.

About me as an Individual Therapist…

As an educator, I have worked with children and families of all ages and stages of development. My background pairs nicely with counselling families as they navigate the diverse pathways of the educational system. My experience extends to helping parents through early identification, assessment and Individual Educational Planning (IEP), lessening the overwhelm for families with diverse learners. I love the neuroscience behind psychology and enjoy weaving it into my therapy sessions.

About me as a Couple Therapist + Family Therapist…

Working with children and families has evolved into my treatment of couples. This natural transition is the result of a belief that people do not function in isolation but are part of a more extensive interconnecting network of relationships. Parents often come in with concerns about a child and then discover that the root issues are connected to a disconnect within their relationship with each other. When one family member is struggling, it impacts every member.

  • I have extensive experience building accommodations and supports for the Individual Education (IEP), Safety and Behavioural planning process within elementary, secondary and post-secondary school contexts.
  • I have over 15 years of experience supporting neurotypical and neurodiverse teens experiencing depression, anxiety, self-harm, suicidal ideation, planning and attempts.
