Hi there! I’m Tavneet, a Registered Psychotherapist (Qualifying). I belong to the South Asian community and offer services in English and Punjabi. I became a therapist after witnessing how mental health was approached in my community. Since then, I’ve aspired to create a space for people to talk about difficult things with someone who has similar lived experiences to them.
Outside of therapy, I’m an avid concert goer, an iced latte enthusiast, a sushi lover, and consistent reader.
A quote I live by is that “when one door closes, another door opens”. It may not make sense right away, but it will in time.
I hold experience in supporting individuals through relational concerns, mood and personality disorders, trauma, and life transitions.
I view therapy as a collaborative approach where we work together to best support you and the relationships in your life. While in individual therapy, you and I will be present in the room, we’ll create space to explore the relationships and connections outside of the room that influence and impact you. I hold experience in supporting couples and families. From professional and personal experience, I know that relationships can develop points of contention across time that produce negative feelings.
