Hello! My name is Tehreem and I am a Registered Psychotherapist. I am also a wife and a mother to a toddler. I identify as a second-generation immigrant and as a Muslim South Asian woman. For me, having to reflect intentionally on my values and ways to be in the world and in relationships with others has been a natural part of growing up with different cultural messages. I see therapy in a similar light: a place to reflect deeply on how we choose to show up in the world and why.

About me as an Individual Therapist…

I have worked with individuals from various walks of life and understand that you are the true expert of your life. To me, therapy is about more than just problems. As a therapist, I want to acknowledge both the challenges and the great strengths that you bring. I am dedicated to seeing you as more than the problems that you may discuss with me.

My philosophy is to make space for you and anything you would like to bring to our meetings. I recognize that everyone has a different vision for their life, so it is important to me to listen to you with curiousity and with a non-judgmental attitude. Together, I hope to help you expand your awareness of yourself and explore ways to live in greater alignment to your values and needs. My priority is listening closely to where you are in your own journey and walking along you at your pace.

About me as a Couple Therapist + Family Therapist…

I believe that our relationships are a part of who we are- especially our closest relationships. They impact how we feel, how we see ourselves, our hopes and dreams of the future and so much more.

Sometimes, we can get to feeling stuck or disconnected with the folks close to us. In couple/family therapy, I hope to help you hear each other better, build a greater sense of understanding and closeness and perhaps challenge the patterns that you may feel stuck in with each other.

It may also feel important to gain a better idea of your needs and values in your relationship. For some, couple/family therapy might be about gaining clarity on how to relate to each other or be in relationship with each other moving forward. Whatever it is that you are looking to explore in your relationships, I hope to help you at your own pace, with curiousity and non-judgement.
